A period should never end a girl’s education.

We expand access to education, help girls stay in school, and give children what they need to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.

A schoolgirl opens her dignity kit
The problem

Many girls in Ethiopia can't afford pads. So every month they stay home for a few days. Missed days become falling behind, and falling behind becomes dropping out, even in college. In Addis Ababa it is hard. In the countryside, there is nothing.

What we've done
300+ girls received reusable pad kits and health lessons, in partnership with Adey Pads.
Kits are handed out in schools by Cornerstone, our team in Addis Ababa, with lessons so girls can manage their period with confidence.
What is needed now
  1. 1Reusable pad kits for girls in rural schools
  2. 2School supplies for girls who would otherwise go without
  3. 3Menstrual health lessons for girls, and for the teachers who support them
The long-term vision

A sewing center in every school we serve. We donate sewing machines over time and teach students to sew, so each school makes its own reusable pads. When a school can supply itself, no girl has to miss class again.
